Over recent years, the level of Job vacancies in the region had declined, but the tide is now turning and more and more job opportunities are now coming onstream.

As a result of the new jobs that are becoming available in the region, the Local Enterprise office, Leitrim (formerly known as Leitrim County Enterprise Board) in conjunction with the Department of Social Protection are pleased to announce that a Jobs Fair will take place on Thursday June 5th 2014 in The Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon.

The 2014 Jobs Fair builds on similar events ran in 2007 and 2008 by the then Leitrim County Enterprise Board. The Fair promises to showcase the array of job opportunities available in Leitrim and surrounding counties at present.  In addition local agencies will be present offering support and advice to employees and employers and those considering self employment.

Similar to the previous events the Fair will host companies with situations vacant including VistaMed Ltd., Prior Tool & Die and Finesse Medical to name but a few. (Full listing will be available nearer the date.) Recruitment agencies with vacancies will also be in attendance.  The event offers a chance to view all the job opportunities available in the region under one roof on one day.

Agencies available on the day include the Local Enterprise Office - Leitrim, The Department of Social Protection, Leitrim Development Company, Education & Training Board (ETB), etc.

The fair will showcase job opportunities in the region, training courses available as well as give the public a chance to speak to the enterprise agencies for those considering self employment.
